The Windrose demo truck will arrive in New Zealand at the end of next week. Some pictures from testing in Australia. Let us know if you would like to view.

We can now offer the Qingling EVC61 8×4 with the remarkable CATL Qiji 513kWh battery and Bosch integrated drive axles. This is the diesel version.

Dominating the Bauma Shanghai exhibition last week was XCMG’s 4000t rated wind farm crane.

XCMG announced their largest electric mining equipment order of USD400 million with Australia’s Fortescue Group.

The key EV breakthrough released at Bauma was 400kWh BYD swap batteries that are interchangeable between various construction machines, and trucks.

Their truck crane mounted battery swap solution to get the energy out on site.

A shout out to Blackhead Quarries for sending out their XC968EV to clear a slip during the recent bad weather in Dunedin. Perhaps the first civil defence response using EV equipment in New Zealand? Thanks to TV One for the pic.

A number of our customers will travel to the Bauma Shanghai exhibition, November 26th to 29th. With visa free entry for New Zealanders it is now much easier to visit the worlds third largest machinery exhibition. Let me know if you would like to meet on the XCMG stand.

The Windrose demo truck is now doing the rounds in Australia, seen here driving Melbourne to Sydney. Today it is running Sydney to Canberra (return) with a trailer. The demo unit will arrive in New Zealand in December.

Testing in Denmark, this 34m combination achieved 590km at 64t gross without top up charging. Denmark is pretty flat, but still a nice result with that many axles.

Etrucks® offers with LEHVF Grant

The Government’s Low Emissions Heavy Vehicle Fund is now live.
Funding limits vary according to each weight class, but basically there will be 25% off the cab chassis price of any zero or low-emissions truck that features on ECCA’s approved list over 5900kg GVM.

Etrucks® commends this initiative. With the LEHVF, the total cost of ownership of our EV trucks will now be less than diesel trucks in many applications.

Our flagship Windrose E1400 is already the industry leader in its class for the three most important BEV parameters, TCO, payload and duration. With the LEHVF grant the initial price drops considerably.
We can now also offer the E1400 in “ultra light” configuration for those who don’t need over 600km duration. The tare weight can be as low as 9700kg.

Contact us for the details and to start the application process for a part-funded vehicle.

All the following trucks from Etrucks® also qualify for the LEHVF grants.

Our ultra light class one Qingling EVM100. At 2315kg GVM with a 100kWh battery the EVM100 are up to a tonne lighter than competitors class one trucks. 260km duration is achievable, over 300km with the optional 120kWh battery via the Bosch integrated drive axle.

The very smart small Farizons are the biggest selling small electric trucks in the world with 22% market share in China. Both SWB and the larger battery LWB versions are available to order now. The SWB can be class one if you prefer.

Our waste industry trucks include the RCV10E 10cbm rear loaders. The XCMG superstructure is mounted on a Qingling 12,495kg GVM cab chassis with a tare of 7,710kg. The trucks feature a 162kWh CATL battery.

The same truck can be offered as the SL8E skip truck with 5 tonne payload. The skip truck uses a HVYA bin lifting superstructure.

Our 12t XCMG E400 has a 5t payload as a metro tipper. Fitted with an integrated drive axle and Hyva hydraulics these are ideal to complement your electric diggers and loaders. We also have one being built as a curtainsider with tail lift.

Several suppliers had powered semi trailers on display including Trailer Dynamics using the same bottom swap CATL Qiji battery packs as used on our Farizon G3.

A very smart milk tanker trailer with two steering axles.

Completely from left field this EV truck range from Kaiyun Motors that looked like they were built from zinc coated sheet steel.

IAA was dominated by new energy trucks powered by batteries, hydrogen fuel cell, hydrogen internal combustion, bio-methane, and bio-diesel. There were a few diesel trucks on the main stands, but you had to seek them out.

There were other aerodynamic shaped BEV trucks on display as well, this one also attracted a lot of attention.

I was in Hefei recently for some more Windrose testing. We used 109kWh of battery to travel 104km on the test track at a steady 80kph loaded to 49t gross. That is 1.05kWh/km, which indicates a duration of 624km with 10% battery remaining. Very impressive.

Yep we were loaded, not that you noticed much with 1400hp available. The truck on the right is the demo unit on it’s way to New Zealand.

Windrose will exhibit at IAA in Hannover, hall 12, stand B71. Etrucks® will be on site on the 19th and the 20th of September. Let me know if you would like to meet at the stand to check out the truck, or book a test drive.

Customer tests are also continuing including a Shanghai to Nanjing round trip for Rittal

They can also be used as a virtually silent and emission free generator via a range of AC outlets.

Come and see the trailer charging a range of EV trucks at Eroads Fleet day at Mystery Creek next Wednesday the 7th of August.

Windrose are now testing with AP Moller/Maersk and Kerry Logistics in China. The demonstration unit for New Zealand will arrive in early October.

The drivers will love the center line cabin, as well as the 1400hp available….

Kerry Logistics recently ran from Jinan to Nanjing, and achieved 677km at 49t

We have ordered our first EVM100 “ultralight” class one truck. Featuring a 100kWh CATL centerline battery and 140kW Bosch integrated drive axle they have a remarkably low tare weight of 2350kg. The low weight means durations of over 250km are easily achieved.

A concept drawing of a proposed ultralight EV 6mconcrete mixer truck. The tare is a remarkable 12,000kg, more or less the same as a diesel equivalent.

Etrucks® are delighted to announce we are now the New Zealand dealers for the Windrose E1400 long range BEVs. These very slippery semi tractors achieve a range of 670km at 49 tonne. That means the Auckland to Wellington run is possible with minimal on highway charging, perhaps none at all.

The 729kWh battery can accept either MCS or dual gun CCS2 charging. Either system can add 400km range in 35 minutes. The peak power is 1400hp, with over 900hp being continuously available from the two integrated drive axles.

A demonstration unit will be shipped to New Zealand in September for comprehensive testing. The center-line cabin offers a unique driving experience

Our 12t GVM E400s have arrived in New Zealand. We can now offer fully electric contractors packages with metro tippers, excavators and wheel loaders.

We will exhibit the E400 and the Farizon H9E at Eroads Fleet Day at Mystery Creek on August 7th.
